Quote from: Grey Fox on May 28, 2026, 12:16:43 PMPretty great. No Middle East ownership, no dilution of the product, no domination by a side of the pyramid.

On the flip-side, selling and moving franchises are an abomination.

Relegation of a different system.

I am unsure if more punditry is the way to go. Unless it's Roy Keane and Carra doing it. Watching Carra butcher just about any name with his thick Merseyside accent is pure gold, and Keane will tell anyone to "do your job".

If you say so. Still an abomination.

Is it though? Seems like a way for owners to blackmail cities for cash and benefits. As an avowed anti-capitalist I'd have thought you'd have stronger opinions :P
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".

À jamais les premiers !
PSG-QSI Champions' League winner twice in a row. For the  Ligue des Tas Lents that is. :P
England (North ?) London clubs can't take penalties?

Separately I work with a lot of Arsenal fans. So interested to take the mood tomorrow.

My best scenario is for Spurs to stay up and Arsenal to bottle the title race and Champion's League. That would make this nightmare season passable.

Well, Arsenal did not bottle the title race, but at least they fumbled the CL final and Spurs stay up. Could be worse.

There's a viral video from the venue in Dallas of a Hyunday/Boston Robotics "dog" approaching someone and "scanning" their face, claiming those will be used to scan faces or validate tickets of visitors.

While the actual intent is not quite clear, most articles are like, "Nah, they're just there for general security, they already use them at NASCAR and other events, and Mexico has them too."

Well, that's cool then, I guess?

I am starting to think the only way this World Cup could be more contentious and less friendly to football supporters is to host the final at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and the semis at a random location in Antarctica and near Lake Titicaca.

I guess I know now why the Canadiens de Montréal are really screwed.  :P
Viper, un commentaire ?  :D

Interesting. Looks to have been during F1 weekend. Montreal's not hosting anything World Cup related.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.
