How about switching sports. May i recommend hockey. Got a nice transition team for you. Same feeling of dispare, but on ice!

That is bullshit. If Iran cannot go, any why not all they did was get bombed, then it should be the next qualfying team in their...confederation of whatever the fuck its called. The next Asian team. Not some shitty Euro team that couldn't qualify even though the Euros get like a billion teams.

I hate it though. Teams should qualify on the field...or pitch...or whatever. Not based on political nonsense like the host country doesn't like them.

Looks like the Italian government rejected it pre-emptively anyway. Glad to see Italy cares a little bit about the integrity of the game.

Edit: I just realized the Italian government looked at what the US was proposing and was like: Nah, this is too corrupt for us. Damn what a time to be alive.
