Another case where things went terribly wrong when an AI tool was used to draft submissions to the court.  The AI tool fabricated legal principles and cases that do not exist. Passages taken from National Indigenous Fisheries Institute v Canada (Fisheries and Oceans) 2026 FC 382:

[7] As will be more fully detailed below, the authorities cited by NIFI's counsel in their written representations - all of which allegedly dealing with the extension of time - simply do not exist and appear to be the product of Artificial Intelligence [AI] hallucinations.[...]
