So, in the United States, wealth inequality is at a staggering level, nativism has become a dominant philosophy, we have a president serving non-consecutive terms, we're raising tariffs on everything, we're threatening a Latin American nation, we're looking to take up the white man's burden in Greenland and now we're building Dreadnoughts.  The late nineteenth century has returned. 

(I'm not sure what this means for the common man.  Are we supposed to create centers for social reform or dig a canal in Central America or form missionary societies to bring the gospel to China or something? )

The "Trump Class" is so obviously vaporwear that I am surprised even someone as dumb as Hegseth would let Trump trot that absurdity out. It features what would likely be a $20B cost, includes weapons that don't work or don't even exist, and would require a massive investment in building docks to be able to make anything that big without cancelling all the carrier builds and overhauls.  And that's not even mentioning the USN's complete incompetence in ship design that has built four failure classes in a row and hasn't developed a successful warship design since 1987.

Trump's pathological narcissism gets worse by the day.
