Re-watching 'Seinfeld' for the first time since original transmission, some real diamonds in the rough, just getting to the end of S3.

'The Boyfriend' with a guest appearance by Keith Hernandez* (sp?) was excellent and would possibly spark some interest from JR?

*not heard about him before, but for someone playing themselves he did a good job.

Not a huge Seinfeld fan overall, but that was one of the great episodes.

(KH was big NY based sports hero of my youth, by way of St Louiee, still very active as a TV announcer for Mets games).
We have, accordingly, always had plenty of excellent lawyers, though we often had to do without even tolerable administrators, and seen destined to endure the inconvenience of hereafter doing without any constructive statesmen at all.

Fallout S2 has started on Prime. Some of the opening lines from Mr House feel a bit weird on Mr Bezos's streaming service.

But basically it just picks up where it left off last season. Some fan service to kick things off after the credits, but otherwise it continues its story lines and its mixture of high stakes drama, personal trauma, gory violence and dark humor.

I think I may have to play some F:NV tonight. -_-

The 1999 Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart is on Youtube (Shakespeare Network) - it starts with him being visited by his nephew. Took me a moment to realize that this cheerful lad with the posh British accent was Dominic West who would be McNulty on The Wire a few years later.

He played Richmond in Gandalf's Richard III. He likes his old Shakespearean actors.

Ended up watching the entire film. Sir Patrick acting and Dickens' dialogue is quite lovely together.

IT: Welcome to Derry, S1. IT is ITting all over the place. Fine for what it is.

One relly weird thing though (MILD SPOILER): the show very early establishes through exposition that one of the characters simply has no fear. But this lack of fear never manifests outside of exposition. In fact the character shows all the symptoms of fear (of a brave person). I don't blame the actor, but the writing and especially the direction here struck me as bizarre. There's all kinds of reasons why not having any fear would lead to non-standard or suboptimal behavior, with drama-increasing effects, but nothing of this is explored at all.

I love that story - I think my favourite take is probably Scrooged. But honestly there are very few versions that I don't enjoy.

I'm a bit up and down on Dickens, but A Christmas Carol is basically perfect in my view.

Watching Community again. Had forgotten about this bit in the 2nd episode.

Heretic. Mormons make house call. I think Hugh Grant works great in this kind of role. Some new ground in this kind of movie. A bit into the movie you start considering which ways the movie might go, I don't think it went in the most interesting direction. SPOILER: I liked the main character switch that was done.

The Community Christmas episodes were soem, of the most memorable. Especially the Glee club one.
