CBC Gem has a new 10 episode series about János Hunyadi.  I am 6 episodes in, and really enjoying it.  I think it is on Netflix in other countries.  I recommend watching it with subtitles, and no dubbing.  It is important to know who is speaking what language to catch some of the nuance of the story being told.

Just checked.

It's 2025 not 15, and while it is co-produced by Austrian ORF, it was made by Hungarian TV2 which is an oligarch-owned cesspool often sinking lower than state TV in pushing propaganda.

I don't know if the script has propaganda in it, but it was made and financed by disgusting people.

I suspect that the issue isn't that he was lying, but rather that you weren't paying attention. This isn't the first, nor will it be the last, time you can thank Hod I set you straight.

FFS this series was all over Hungarian news at the time. I just used Wiki to verify.
