Gups

Seems like Sheffield Wednesday are on the brink of collapse thanks to their scumbag owner. Transfer ban, manager leaving, stand closed due to safety reasons, unpaid wages allowing player to leave for breach of contract etc etc.

Unbelievable that a single person can just destroy a 150 year old institution, apparently out of spite. And of course, the EFL have taken no action whatsoever except the transfer even though its odds on that Wednesday won't be able to finish the season.

I haven't heard much of that lately (that they've been in some trouble a while though I know), weirdly lots of reporting about Morecombe though, a considerably less prestigious team.

Insane Sheffield Wednesday could be in this position given their prestige and history.

Crystal Palace really staking their claim today to be the new most hated team in football.

Today we're going to the big game of the season. Home derby against IFK Göteborg. Expecting a full stadium, some 18.000ish, mostly GAIS supporters.

Both teams are in the middle of the league, 6 and 7, but GAIS is closing in on European cup placement and IFK are the leaders of the rest. If our team wins they'll be fourth and if IFK wins nothing changes. If we want to get out in Europe this is more or less the deciding game.

It's also our first proper derby and we expect lots of emotions and a good time.

And a nice tifo, something like this perhaps (we are green-black, IFK blue-white):

Assenal is not winning the League, so I'm gonna start laughing right now. Top 4 but that's it.

Very disappointing. I quite like Palace generally but that was really loathsome behaviour by some of their fans.

What happened?

Sheilbh

A group of Palace fans disrupted the minute's silence for Diogo Jota.

It was a minority and I understand other Palace fans in that area were making clear they weren't happy with it.

That's just despicable. Was he particularly disliked by Palace fans or something?

Sheilbh

I don't think so - I'm not aware of any beef.

I think it's just some fans, as you say, behaving despicably. Really unpleasant.

25 minutes in and Spurs are playing better than PSG.

I think this either finishes 6-0 to PSG or 1-0 to Spurs.

Zoupa

Lost on penalties, 2-2 after being up 2 nil.

Spurs played great though, I'll take it.

Forest will be in the top six.
Sunderland will be higher, so will Leeds. West Ham looks vulnerable. Burnley are certs for the elevator. Again.
And I don't think Man Utd will get their shit together this season, either.

Arsenal can win. But I will put my money on the hubcap thieves from the slums to repeat their season.

Palace is a great unknown, with some serious potential.
Chelsea should have a plane crash. Literally. I hate that club with such passion that a Forest fan usually should reserve for Derby County.

Newcastle, dunno. I think one of the reasons Elanga left Forest was to play along Isak. That worked out well.

To see Sheffield Wednesday going out this way, it reminds me when the owners sold out Forest. We were saved by Nigel Doughty, but he set up the panel of player acquirement, with David Pleat at its head. That... was weird.
