It reminds me of a larger problem with the media: progressives continue to play democracy while the fascists do not. I think this applies to the US and the UK not to mention Hungary.

What I mean is more or less this:

There is a right-wing government:
Right of centre media: praise, careful analysis of pros and
at best very subdued criticism.
Centre and left of centre media: varying degree of criticism based on analysing the merits and disadvantages of the policy in question.

Left of centre government:
Right of centre media: constant and unrelenting criticism

Centre and left of centre media: varying degree of criticism based on analysing the merits and disadvantages of the policy in question.
