Also, B2EMO never saw Cassian again. :(
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Quote from: HVC on May 14, 2025, 07:39:14 AMI liked the catch up of the characters at the end, but Why is perrin still alive/free? His wife turned rebel leader. The empire isn't exactly forgiving or understanding.

Maybe he could share intelligence? Maybe he lost his wealth? I found it interesting that he apparently is with Sculdun's (ex?)wife(?), i.e. the mother of his son in law. Perhaps he delivered Sculdun's criminal activities to the Empire in exchange for amnesty?

Frankly, I would have liked a reaction shot of him last week when he watches or hears about his wife's speech in the senate.

I read there were cut scenes with Perrin. Namely his acquiescence to his wife's shadier dealings, but yeah more Perrin wouldn't have hurt.

Also Jung is the greatest Rebel no one well ever know about or celebrate.

I guess we can assume Lonnie had to do some pretty bad stuff at ISB to maintain his cover, though. :P

Bauer

Last 3 episodes weren't quite as good as the lofty standard of episodes 8 and 9.  But they were a very nicely wrapping job on the story.

Andor and Rogue One are the best of all post Lucas Star Wars by far.  They had a rare element of the story telling bringing a new lense to the universe, expanding it, and still remaining true to the original content.

I'm not sure I can think of any other writing that was able to accomplish that so well.

And yet, we will nevet get more of it because Feloni hates the damn thing.

When did he say that? I mean i can see kennedy hating it, but not really him.

It's the Kennedy/Gilroy axis vs Filoni.

QuoteAccording to a new report, Dave Filoni could be gatekeeping Star Wars, rejecting pitches that don't align with his vision of what Star Wars should be.

Huh, I would not have guessed that drawing of alliances.

Private driver, expensive alcohol bottle, entitled wife/gf.  Nope.  All signs point to no on this.

It's a bullshit report.

Filoni wasn't in a position to gatekeep anything when the pitch was first made on Andor and he's on record saying he loves the show, like pretty much everyone.

As for Kennedy, Gilroy praised her support in getting the show on track.

I've found the discussions of these two PolSci professors from UConn about Andor interesting.

Question to native speakers - what accent does the prof in the checkered shirt have? I can't quite place it, and his CV only says that he has British citizenship. :D

The way he says he loves the show is just PR because he's said bad things about all the other series he's not the source of.

He's in a position to gatekeep now and for a little while too. We could have had 4 seasons of Andor, we only got 2. Thats Filoni's decision.

*sigh* I'm so tired of this.

"Lucas has raped my childhood!"
"KK is destroying Star Wars!"
"Filoni is saving Star Wars!"
"Filoni is destroying Star Wars!"
"Bring Lucas back to save Star Wars!"
Etc.

Meh. Couldn't care less.

Meanwhile I've learned that Kenner had prototyped figures for Chewie's family from the Star Wars Holiday Special.
