Don't tell him about the three-boobed woman.

I've spent the rest of my life trying to find a real one :( :D

Worth a watch though there was some stuff that could have been cut. Didn't really need 15 minutes of excplicit sex scenes.

Would have brought it under 2 hours.

'Gladiator' - Epic Sword and sandal tale.

'Gladiator 2' - Epic Codswallop*.

Watch within 24 hours of each other, rather than the 24 years apart. :)

*Though I'm sure it's more historically accurate than 'Napoleon'

I saw some Wes Anderson shorts on Netflix based on Dahl's stories. I enjoyed them.

Yes they were very good.  :)

Also saw another one new to me 'Last of the Mohicans' - I can't fault it, a near perfect film; particularly liked the soundtrack and the main theme song.

And the guy who plays Magua, Wes Studi (sp?) steals nearly every secene hes in with DDL.

Another under-rated classic. I think that maybe it was less successful than it deserved to be because of word of mouth about the non-Disney ending.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

That, or the sense of wonder you had as a child is back.  :P

Maybe, but also there's just SO much new content on Netflix/stramers that it's a real effort to sort through it all to find that 'diamond in the rough'.

That is one thing that gets me these days.
Growing up there was certain films people had obviously seen.
You haven't seen star wars? Indiana Jones? Did you grow up as part of some cult that didn't believe in TV?
Certain classics were always on TV a few times a year so everyone saw them.

Now though with so many not watching live TV.... You've got a generation growing up without any experience of basically anything from the 20th century.

It was my late wife's favorite movie of all time.  When she was a teenager, she got a huge movie poster and it lived on the wall of her craft room in the basement.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.
