Played Wildermyth a bit, but it didn't grab me. It's an area I'm super interested in, but somehow it didn't work for me.

crazy canuck

I tried a bit of the tutorial, It might grow on me but my initial impression is that the combat system isn't great.

I've heard despite the subject matter it's actually a more realistic city builder than skylines :hmm:

I refunded it but planning to re-acquire at some point.

It is promising (and having vehicles of my childhood on screen is kinda' cool) but it is very micromanagement-heavy.

Tried the demo and ouch, it is indeed. There's just too much *stuff*

It seems to be another one like A Train where I'd love to play but just don't have the time and patience to study the manual

Procedural storytelling? Yeah, I might be getting it just to play around with that. It's something that interests me quite a bit, too.

I played through a few chapters in a few starts now.  The stories are different every time (except for the intro which you can skip after playing the first time).  Some story lines are much more compelling than others.  My main complaint is that characters age and retire too quickly so that once you get some attachment to them you have to move on.  There is a mechanic to spend points to elevate some so that they can be used again but it is not as satisfying as just keeping with the characters you have developed for a reasonable period of game play.

I grew to enjoy the combat system a bit more, but it is a lot of punching the same buttons over and over.

Banner Saga is much better once you set it to easy mode.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

This mix of Rollerball and Running Man with a retro-futuristic look seems interesting:

BBC News - Gamers face price rise on PS5 but not Switch

Quite insane stuff. The PS5 to go up in price.
Once upon a time you could rely on consoles prices steadily dropping as time went on.
The switch sort of broke this with its price remaining stable...
But the price actually going up? Wow.

Fits alongside p'dox retroactively increasing pricing on flavour pack dlc for ck3.

Honest question: apart from Nintendo gimmicks and wanting to keep your kids away from your PC, what is the point of buying a console?
