My personal choice would be The Stars My Destination. Count of Monte Cristo in space would be superfun.

Watching *Servant of the People* on Netflix. It's actually very funny, even in translation.

The whole thing has got to be the most extreme life-imitating-art saga in world history, though. The comedy portrays an Everyman high school teacher who rants about the corruption of Ukrainian politics. A student secretly records his rant, and it strikes a nerve and goes viral. On the strength of this, the teacher jokingly runs for president of Ukraine - and wins.

The comedy strikes a nerve in Ukraine and becomes wildly popular. On the strength of this, the actor who portrayed the Everyman High school teacher runs for President of Ukraine, and wins ...

Please tell me that in the show, Ukraine got invaded and the Everyman President kicked the shit out of Putin. :)

I'm only on the third episode ... maybe it happens.  ;)

I do wonder if 10-20 years from now they will do a sequel series featuring this.

Maybe a bit dark and close to the bone, hut these are Eastern Europeans we are talking about. If it isn't blackest black it just ain't comedy.

Further proof that Will Smith should have got that Oscar for Ali.  :P

That was a pretty weak slap. Also Ali had a lot more self-control and took a lot more shit without losing his cool than Will Smith will ever experience in his whole lifetime.

Finished the latest season of Last Kingdom.  I thought it did a pretty good job of drawing a lot of the story threads together.  They also left the possibility of continuing on if they get funding to the end of the book series.

Production values have dropped a bit and so I assume they had less money to play with.

QuoteBruce Willis "Stepping Away" From Acting Career After Aphasia Diagnosis

Bruce Willis is "stepping away" from his acting career after being diagnosed with aphasia, which leads to the loss of ability to understand or express speech, his family said in a statement posted to social media.

"To Bruce's amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities," read the statement. "As a result of this and with much consideration, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him."

The 67-year-old film star is best known for playing John McClane in the iconic Die Hard franchise. The original 1988 film made Willis a film and action star after he was mainly known as a comedic TV actor, specifically in the series Moonlighting.

"This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support. We are moving through this as a strong family unit, and wanted to bring his fans in because we know how much he means to you, as you do to him. As Bruce always says, 'Live it up' and together we plan to do just that. Love, Emma, Demi, Rumer, Scout, Tallulah, Mabel, & Evelyn."

Willis was immediately trending on social media as the news broke, as fans were sharing their disbelief and sadness over the development.

Guess that explains why he was doing so many bad movies lately, building up a nest egg.
