Well what's his best movie?
I'd say my top 3 must be Predator, Terminator 2 and True Lies.
I think a better poll would have been the best Ahnuld one-liners.

Anyway, I voted for Conan the Barbarian, since it's one of my favorite movies of all time, Arnold or no.... and I can't believe you put stuff like 'Batman and Robin' and 'End of Days' on here.
I thought whole poll/thread was a joke.

I thought about that, but there'd be too many I think.
My favorite is "If it bleeds, we can kill it"
If you're going strictly by "best Ahnuld one-liner movie", then one of either Commando or The Running Man wins.
True Lies was the best. Outside of The Terminator.
Voted Predator, I've seen that movie the most and still love it every time.
Definitely a part of me that wants to vote for True Lies though.
PUT DAT COOKIE DAAHWN!
Commando. Altho, I've never seen it in english.

IT'S NOT A TUMAH!
Picked terminator 2. I really like kindergarten cop as well though
1. Kindergarden Cop
2. True Lies
3. Terminator
Total Recall, but Terminator 2 and Commando are both good.
IT'S NADA TUMAH!
True Lies, Terminator 2, Terminator.
KROM!
Total Recall, T2 (dunno if it or T1 is the better film but the question is best Arny film so...) and Kindergarten Cop.
TR wins.

Voted True Lies. Just a fun movie all around.
Really wish they'd cast someone other than Jamie Lee Curtis.
Without a doubt Tom Arnold's best role.
And it was Tia Carrere's last totally hawt movie.
Obviously Conan the Barbarian.
Conan
Total Recall
Predator
Total Recall, Terminator 2, True Lies

True Lies

I think the Last Action Hero gets a bum rap; not only an awesome fucking soundtrack, but I think Arnie did a great job spoofing himself, the movie industry and bigger-than-life action flicks in general.
Maybe not as good as Tom Cruise did at spoofing himself in Knight & Day, but it was good.
Terminator 2
I can't decide between Terminator, Total Recall and Predator. I quite like Kindergarten Cop, Conan the Barbarian, T2 and Last Action Hero as well, if not as much.

Agree.
At any rate, Conan the Barbarian, True Lies and Total Recall are his best films, although I have a soft spot for the one-liners in The Running Man.

Terminator 2.
It's not close to his best, but I kinda liked The Sixth Day. It's dumb, but BFD. I think it got more criticism than it deserved.

Yep. Quoted approvingly by the professor in a tutorial on Hamlet. 'To be or not to be? Not to be' (throws grenade into Elsinore)
Total Recall, T, T2 and Predator.
1. Total Recall
2. Terminator 2
3. Predator
4. Terminator
5. Conan the Barbarian
Though I have a soft spot for The Running Man--it was the last movie CollegeGirlFriend and I saw together (obviously, a few years after I was out of college).
True Lies. Twins runs a close second for me.

Total Recall is weird for me. I really wanted to like it, and parts of it are cool, but parts are so over the top that I got a bit turned off. Like I remember laughing hysterically at the ending when I first saw it because it's so freaking ridiculous... I was like 12 at the time and even then I knew it was way over the top. Also, the scene with 'CONSIDER DIS UH DIVOHCE'.... it's ridiculously campy because of how nonchalantly Arnie kills a woman who at one point he thought was his wife (and maybe she really was? :hmm: ) and fucking and everything. He's just like *boom* 'CONSIDER DIS UH DIVOHCE' and smirks. I mean, wtf, that's total psychopathy right there for you, not to mention a fucking tragedy because Sharon Stone at that point was so HOTT it was ridiculous. :(
Other good TR lines:

It has it's off moments (any scene with Jamie Lee Curtis) but it's loaded with gold. The Charleton Heston cameo was dynamite. I can't think of a single better special effects scene in any movie ever made than the Marine Harriers blowing up the evol towelheads on the Key Highway.

When the helicopter play happened, it was 27 - 17 coming just off of a Colts TD with like 4:00 left. He tried to fly, gave up the fumble for a TD to make it 27-24, then fumbled again inside the 20. They, of course, immediately scored off of that to make it 31 - 27, so he then threw a game ending INT. It was an impressive meltdown.
Edit: I also remember Tim saying something like "THE TEXANS ARE KICKING THE COLTS ASSES!!" just before it all went down. Like JUST before.

if terminator 2 was a schwarzenegger flick, i'd pick that as it is easily the best on the list. however, it isn't. it's a movie starring schwarzenegger, and there is a difference. chose total recall because it's just so.. awesome

The new poll graphics are definitely a huge improvement.
I'm watching Running man now. I like the old fashion special stunts and stuff. And that nobody notices Ahnold has an Austrian accent. Normally in a film an accent like that would warrant a comment. Or be part of a character. In the Schwarzenegger films, it's usually just there.
It was a tough choice between Terminator, Predator, Conan the Barbarian and The Running Man...but in the end my lingering soft-spot for The Running Man gave it the nod over the others.
Collateral Damage.
Hmm, looking at this poll, I realize I've never seen the original Terminator. :hmm: Might have to watch it tonight.
T2 is my favorite by a fair margin. Arnie isn't as "Arnie" as he is in Predator or Conan, but the movie is a lot better.
I'm somewhat surprised by the love for Total Recall. I thought that movie started well, but ended up plumbing the depths of silliness. I haven't seen it since it came out, due to utter lack of interest. I'll watch just about any of the others given half a chance.

Careful, that collectively dumber is made up of dumb individuals who make up a MORE dumb collective made up of even dumber individuals....

It wasn't "ruined". The quality of an action movie isn't dependent upon the quality of the (human) eye candy. (Stunts and explosion eye candy is a different story...)
