The bitch has outdone herself once again! Yeah it's standard religious stuff guaranteed to push the right buttons for a lot of people but the beat is sick and the imagery blew me away! And Jesus is actually HOTT in that video.
G.
Can't watch at work, but since she made tons of money ripping off 'Express Yourself', is this now a ripoff of 'Like A Prayer'? :)
The only Judas-related music act worth mentioning:

I didn't originally like BTW, but I like it a lot now. I think it may have to do with the video, which did not impress me - on its own, the song is pretty catchy. Also, the Glee performance helped too, I guess.

That song couldn't be gayer if it was soundtracking two dudes shagging.
I didn't care for the music that much, but the Jesus is pretty hot (and has cute feet ). I could convert to the Church of Gaga, if Christianity looked like that.

Common internet shorthand is great, it's the ad hoc acronyms that cause needless confusion.
Born this way is a fine generic pop song. However, it's far from the high point of her career.

I've always been a little mystified by the gay cult that grows up around some female pop stars. She's talented and makes good dance music (when she's not making area-denial weapons like "Judas," anyway), but other than that, where is the attraction? The outsize personality? She's into gay rights, yeah, but whoopty-shit; so were David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, one would presume. She's pretty hot, but I'd reckon that isn't the reason. Is it the lack of an actual gay male superstar?

The man is almost dead; he makes virtually no music these days. The last album he released was Reality in 2003, and while it wasn't very good, Heathen from the previous year was pretty great. He made The Pixies fucking listenable, for a change. (Just kidding, but the original version of "Cactus" did suck. Also, "Slow Burn" is probably the second best Bowie song period, after "Life on Mars" and tied with "Five Years." Kinda weird that they're separated by about thirty years, though.)

So Gaga's record is out now. What is Grallon's comment?
I don't like Lady Gaga, but I was impressed by the opening monologue of born this way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV1FrqwZyKw
The good vs. evil thesis vs. antithesis = synthesis with the focus on the pendulum choice is a succint summary of the dialectic between the right and the left hemisphere, and it's impressing because it is probably stated independantly of the recent synthetical advances between neuroscience and history (though of course it has been known implicitly almost forever and has been stated explicitly by Hegel and others).

I don't buy albums. I listen to songs on YouTube and may or may not like them. 'Born this way' was good, 'Judas' fantastic, 'Edge of Glory' nostalgic. For the rest of the album we shall see.

Some people seem to like that sort of thing. Grallon isn't Martinus, and so doesn't fall into the same 'it's gay and so therefore good' trap. He's just got pedestrian tastes.

Catchy? I will never understand the gay mind.
 It's the drama - her entire musical corpus is suffused with it.
That's why it was love at first sight when I stumbled upon '
Judas'. In that clip she appears as Mary-Magdalene but more importantly as consort of Jesus - therefore his equal. When I say 'she's a goddess' I mean it - she's playing with religious symbolism, weaving it about herself with maestria. Where Madonna criticized religion - therefore appearing subversive - Gaga embraces it - therefore attempting to transcend the role of mere pop icon.
She's making herself both the Idol to be worshiped and the High Priestess of that new cult ( the Mother Monster ethos, the Gaga hook repeated like a mantra in most of her songs, the steaming sexuality laced in ). All of it teems with pagan vibes.
Is it conscious on her part? I don't know but I think it's fascinating to watch.

From what I've heard of the tracks on
