She's into gay rights, yeah, but whoopty-shit; so were David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, one would presume.

Gays* don't like the slightest hint of testosterone in their music.

*Well, at least Grallon, Marty and Garbon don't.

I hold garbon above Marty and Grallon.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Well, that's all well + good, I just don't understand how you can like this song.  She's really done so much better.

While Gaga is a goddess.  Bow and worship infidel!

I've always been a little mystified by the gay cult that grows up around some female pop stars.  She's talented and makes good dance music (when she's not making area-denial weapons like "Judas," anyway), but other than that, where is the attraction?  The outsize personality?  She's into gay rights, yeah, but whoopty-shit; so were David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, one would presume.  She's pretty hot, but I'd reckon that isn't the reason.  Is it the lack of an actual gay male superstar?

Bowie makes crap music these days.

The man is almost dead; he makes virtually no music these days.  The last album he released was Reality in 2003, and while it wasn't very good, Heathen from the previous year was pretty great.  He made The Pixies fucking listenable, for a change.  (Just kidding, but the original version of "Cactus" did suck.  Also, "Slow Burn" is probably the second best Bowie song period, after "Life on Mars" and tied with "Five Years."  Kinda weird that they're separated by about thirty years, though.)

Sounds like this album will be good for forgettable dance tracks.  Will I be purchasing next week? But of course.

The only Judas-related music act worth mentioning:

Seconded. I think I will listen to "SWoD".

No, she's really not.  Take it from someone who is intimately familiar with the divine:  She's a flash in the pan who is good at marketing alienation.

So Gaga's record is out now. What is Grallon's comment?

I don't like Lady Gaga, but I was impressed by the opening monologue of born this way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV1FrqwZyKw

The good vs. evil thesis vs. antithesis = synthesis with the focus on the pendulum choice is a succint summary of the dialectic between the right and the left hemisphere, and it's impressing because it is probably stated independantly of the recent synthetical advances between neuroscience and history (though of course it has been known implicitly almost forever and has been stated explicitly by Hegel and others).

I don't buy albums.  I listen to songs on YouTube and may or may not like them.  'Born this way' was good, 'Judas' fantastic, 'Edge of Glory' nostalgic.  For the rest of the album we shall see.

Well I came to the rest of the album on YouTube again.

Most of these songs are insanely catchy!
