So I bought a boat and it needs a name. It's a 29 foot sailboat.
Currently I'm stuck on "Seaward" but it's only due to my lack of original thought and love of Arrested Development.
Can't go wrong with Incan Torpedo Boat.
Saily McSailface.
Boaty McBoatface is a classic
I've been thinking about taking up sailing and getting a boat.
I really, really want to name my theoretical boat "Annie's Boobs". With a little picture of the monkey between the words.
It will offend people who don't get the reference, and amuse those who do....
Tell me about your boat!

I'm not sure I want to go more narrow with the references. :P
I nominate Nice Boat.

2001 Jeanneau 29.2 with a relatively new engine and sails. Not super fast, but comfortable and pretty easy to sail. Turns out it's pretty good timing as I now have a place to vacation when I can't travel abroad this summer.
"More money than sense"
Current name is Vera which is fine for now.

Very nice, maybe leave it at Vera for now and change the name after a summer of sailing.
Hvide Nørd.
Nice boat. :)
Now, that said....
My god man, you have hardly met her. Get to know her, find out her foibles both good and bad. Run her tight into the wind, race with a 3/4 run, power her around. This is not a one night stand, this is SERIOUS STUFF.
(and she might be a Vera after all)
You know the saying about the happiest days of a boat owner, right? :P
"Sailing: The fine art of getting wet and becoming ill while slowly going nowhere at great expense."

Had a pretty happy day today, sun and light winds and only a few tasks to be completed. :P

No points for factual correctness!

A joyful waste of time and money.
That is a nice looking boat!
Baltic Princess
Very cool!
I would name a sailboat Surprise, but only as a Patrick O'Brian fanboy.
Titanic
Lightning only strikes once!
Dreadnought :bowler:
Although when I would go to Jane Austen-inspired balls dressed as a RN Captain, I would usually have myself announced as the Captain of the Indefatigable. I dunno how well that would translate to Danish though.
Alternatively I used Terror, which would translate better, but make even less sense for a pleasure boat. Although Terror had a much better connection to Canadian history...
It would be Utrættelig and kinda cool, but I'm not sure I have that confidence yet. :D

Brazen

Daring.
Find a theme and stick with it. You'll have bigger boats. It's irresistible. But you will never love the later ones like the first one.
I refuse to give any names, as I'm still waiting on the introduction to your sister.
For safety purposes i would name it "Molly Brown"
"Slim Shady"
"Pimpin' Boat"
Zeaward.
Oh, and congrats on owning a nice, nice boat Liep! :bowler:
L.
She's a nice-looking boat Liep. Get 50 of them together and you could conquer the Orkneys.
I always liked "Finesse" for a boat. The thinking behind it was to make her feel better about things so she would not be such a bitch later on.
