Is this like more of a thing than it used to be? I went to a mostly black High School and people gave us shit for being poor but never being thuggish. Sure our football team committed lots of personal fouls but those suburban high schools talk lots of trash.
Maybe you were more gangsta.

So, Nation of Islam? :P
and yet, they still walk like thugs.

Whenever we played against team with more than a couple black kids on it, we were maybe a little intimidated. Particularly this one team that had a ginormous fullback. He ended up playing for Marshall when they won the IAA championship.
edit: I just read where he passed away a couple years ago. RIP LeRon :(

It seems to be. I know that a lot of these boys are harassed around here when they go out as a group to restaurants and the movies and stuff, even though they're obviously regular, clean cut kids. They're black so they must be thugs.
But then, I live in a pretty segregated, racist town.

Not many hip-hop artists are old enough to have died natural deaths, given that the genre's only been around since c.1979...
Among regular people who aren't hiphop artists, accidental deaths are more common than homicides. :P

For American men in their 20s and 30s, suicide plus homicide is close nearly equals accidental deaths. And if you're including drug overdoses, as 11B's list did, it's got to be well in excess (though they're included in the accident statistics as unintentional poisonings).

When you are a minority you get held responsible for what other members of your group do for some stupid reason. It is not like everybody suspects every white man is an angry right wing militia member.
Not according to Seedy.

Take the earliest date on the Rapper list and do a comparison with country for the same time period.
That would be 1987 to Present.

Has he done anything of note lately? I remember him being in his hardcore punk stage, and then he did that kind of unnerving album where he and his father sang overdubs on Hank I's songs so it sounded like they were singing ghostly choruses together. And then I saw him in the "The Whites" documentary; seems like he fell in with Johnny Knoxville & Co. for a while. Haven't heard much about him since.
He was on the shitty discovery channel show Fast and Loud playing at the shitty Gas Monkey resturant.
Yes, I was bored.

He's put out a few albums but generally seems to keep a low profile.
Also, they need to do a follow-up to The Wild & Wonderful Whites. Jesco, Mamie, et al have much more to give.
