Ah!  I found it.  The McLean Deluxe.

Despite not having McDonalds that often, I also remember the McPizza...

No, I think you're thinking of the McDLT, not the McLean Deluxe.  Both of them sucked though.

We talked about this before. Sometime ago though.
IIRC UK pizza is like New York pizza? Quite chunky.
And Swedish pizza is big and flat ala Chicago.
I think those are the correct cities anyway.

No they're not, it's the other way around.

NY style pizza is quite similar to traditional Italian pizza, although with plenty more stuff on it.

Caliga

I've had pizza in both NYC and Philly that is remarkably similar to the pizza I had in Italy.  Chicago pizza is a totally different dish.  When I'm in Chicago I call it "fake pizza". :)

I'd just like to note that I am not eating anything off bones. That's not why we climbed down the goddamn trees for.

Don't see why not.  It's not like we stopped flinging pooh at each other, either.

New York Style pizza is my favorite by far, when it's perfect to the point that the crust is crispy yet still foldable, that's basically nirvana.

I usually just like "regular" hand tossed crust from what I call "Mid-West" or "American" style pizza (basically most pizza sold at the chains and all the local joints in the country outside the NYC / Chicagoland area), because I find if it's not NY style the "thin" crust is really more like a flatbread/bruschetta style (but thinner) in that it is just really, really crispy. It's crispy to the point of being totally rigid. I had pizza from a chain called "Donato's" the last time I was in Cincy, and they had that style of thin crust. For a chain it actually wasn't bad (we don't have them on the East coast), but that super-crispy style of thin pizza is my least favorite.

Chicago pie is like you said, a totally different food. I love it, but it's something I think of in the same vein as lasagna or a deep casserole.

Gazing into its limpid pools of grease.  NOM NOM NOM

I've had Donato's and I thought it was ok, but certainly not my favorite... and to clarify, I actually like Chicago pizza.  I just disagree with Chicagoans that it's pizza at all, yeah.

Chicago style is way too much crust, too much bread.

When we order pizza my wife insists on Donato's, specifically because of the cracker-type crust.  Thankfully they load up their pizza with plenty of pepperoni, so there's something in it for me.
