Interesting.

QuoteOn June 7, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders concluded what had become, by the end, a contentious Democratic presidential primary. As the race wore on, the candidates grew more aggressive in speeches, in debates, and on Twitter. Sanders in particular criticized Clinton's hawkishness and sympathy toward Wall Street, attacks amplified by the media.

But this animosity was entirely absent from one important realm. According to Kantar Media, Clinton and Sanders aired 206,528 spots between them this year—and not one was deemed "negative" by the analysts in Kantar's Campaign Media Analysis Group (CMAG).

"In an open presidential primary, this is probably unprecedented," says Elizabeth Wilner, senior vice president for political advertising at Kantar.

Obama met with Sanders today. He is supposed to speak soon and release a statement. I wonder what he'll say? More of the same or something newsworthy?
Winner of THE grumbler point.

He's started and first few lines were his stump speech.

So flipping radio stations, I came across Glen Beck today, and probably the most convoluted logic I've heard in a while.

His thesis was that Trump may be a blessing. Why? Well, he is a disaster, and Hitler was a disaster. But think about all the people in the greatest generation that became heroes by standing up to Hitler. If you went back in time and had a chance to shoot Hitler before he took power, would you take it? On the one hand you would be stopping an evil man. But on the other you would be denying the opportunity of all those people to stand up to Hitler and become great themselves, and ultimately examples to future generations. So today we have that chance to stand up to Trump, and in that way we are blessed.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Phew, sounds like he'll wind down after DC.

QuoteSanders says he spoke with Clinton on Tuesday evening, he congratulated her on her campaign and that he looks forward "to see how we can work together to defeat Donald Trump."

Relief. Now we just have to wait five months.

Obama has a drone following Sanders around now.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I want to see Clinton, Obama, Sanders standing on a stage together.  That would be an awesome visual for the united Democratic Party.

That was a pretty childish exchange all the way around. Internet message boards are now the standard for public discussions.

In other news, apparently part of Trump's business success is predicated on leaving many of his bills unpaid - including bills due to law firms defending him in suits for not paying his bills.

Trump's response:

How long did it take your staff of 823 people to think that up--and where are your 33,000 emails that you deleted?

Equally dumb.
