Any chance Trump will run as an independent if he is denied the nomination?

Any chance?  Sure!

How much of a chance?  Who knows?

A bunch of my former college friends are working nonstop posting Bernie stuff. This one made me smile.

Bernie's Missionaria Protectiva has been active for decades, it seems.

How do the conventions work?  Tell us how they work.

You know how they work, I don't think the furriner's do though.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Delegates convene in a room.

They are given a number of straws - 1 straw minimum + 1 extra straw per 5% of the votes the candidates received in the primary. Each straw has the name of a candidate on it.

The delegates shuffle the straws, close their eyes and pick one. The candidate on the selected straw is the one they must support for candidate.
Winner of THE grumbler point.

He was chilling with the sandinistas back in the 80s.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

There's a fine line between salvation and drinking poison in the jungle.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

I don't, but I'd be curious to learn.

My impression is that his foreign policy is that of a typical Jewish Democrat.  That is, generally dovish with an occasional episode of being a useful idiot, but bucking the disturbing trend on the left of talking shit about Israel.

Sorry, was channeling Old Gregg there.
