Oh, yeah.  He took Polish guns, Soviet guns, French Guns, all kinds of guns.  Did he take guns of German civilians?  No, not really.  He passed laws making it easier to own guns in Germany.  Not for Jews, but they had bigger problems then not having guns.  For instance, he passed laws that made it so Jews were no longer German civilians.  Would having rifles have protected the Jews?  No.  That's absurd. 1% of the population isn't going to fight off the entire government with rifles.  See how much owning guns did for the Indians in this country.

The esteemed Doctor misses a very salient fact about the Holocaust.  Most of the victims were not German Jews.  They were people living in other countries.  These people were protected by guns and not just guns but tanks, airplanes, artillery and all kinds weapons, just not successfully.  The issue was not that people didn't have weapons to oppose the Nazis.  They did.  The Nazis just outfought them. If the Nazi Blitzkrieg conquered the Republic of France in six weeks, I don't think Mr. Rothsteins hunting club is going to stop them.

I guess what I mean is that the gunnut theory seems to go something like this:

1. Hitler hates Jews, but knows he cannot just kill them all because of their guns.
2. Hitler outlaws guns.
3. Jews lose their guns.
4. Hitler kills jews.

This is their justification for opposing any and all gun control legislation NOW, because you never know when some black government helicopters are going to come...do something that we will need our guns to stop.

If in fact the Jews were not all armed like your typical American gun nut, then the entire thing is ridiculous. Of course, it is obviously ridiculous regardless, but I was wondering if there was ever even the sliver of truth to their "history".

Well you do recall how they made it illegal for US Citizens of Japanese Descent to own guns before they put them all in camps so history fully supports them there. If they had all owned guns it never would have happened.

You may have misunderstood my , my was directed at the esteemed Dr. Carson and his gun nut comments. Not at you and you not gun nut craziness.
