Could we forget Sanders? Socialism doesn't work.

The DNC establishment has been wrecked. The chances of the next Democratic nominee being from his faction is high. He's not exactly a red, he's significantly to the right of Corbyn.

[CdM]For Tamas, "socialist" is a code world for something else.  :secret:[/CdM]

Meh, goyim socialists don't win, either.

I've seen a lot of folks online clamoring for Tammy Duckworth.

Female
Half Asian
War Hero
Part of the Sanders faction
I think we need to clamor for dozens and dozens of people.  Democrats have been decimated on the state level long before the orange shit became president elect.  You can't ever get power at a federal level when at state level Republicans are gerrymandering and voter suppressing themselves into semi-permanent power.

Yeah.  The top half.

I wish we could.

But Socialism (or as they call it in Denmark: normalcy) is back. Those billionaires and millionaires better be wary.

Hmm maybe the Dems should try appealing to more people instead of abandoning the rural areas and suburbs to Republicans.

Nah.

Nah.

It is not that simple.

Obama did a decent job in the suburbs and he won bigly. Twice.

Interesting that the poor didn't vote in a majority for Trump, but as CdM it was the better off white males*who did.

I am just saying you cannot appeal to everybody. The Democrats think they have Demographics on their side with their current strategy. We will see. The fact that the Latinos are going over to the other team the longer they stay here doesn't bode well but hey the Republicans lose 30%+ of the rural and suburban people to the Dems as well.

Yeah, some constituency blocks are just too incompatible, and too large to be marginalized.  You can't appeal to both minorities and bigots.  You have to pay lip service to the concerns of one group or the other, and that won't last.  You have to pick one and let the other go to the other team.

Martinus

So, as expected, Clinton won with the people who (with the exception of women) have a lower turnout than average.
