The Providence Journal gave it 4 stars and I usually agree with him! :w00t:

it must be nice not to have to think and to rely on others for every single opinion.

anyhow, your treasured RT only gives T4 34%
 You don't what you're talking about. Our tastes merely coincide most of the time. So if I know he liked a movie there's a good chance I'll like a movie.

Anyways I often don't agree with the majority of the critics so that doesn't bother me. I only reference them when they back me up.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Savonarola

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

proof is needed.
I don't see how I can win. If I like T4 I'll have bucked Rotten Tomatoes but you can say I'm parroting my hometown critic. If I don't like it you'll say I'm parroting Rotten Tomatoes.

You want me to go typing random movies in at Rotten Tomatoes and see how my perception matches up with the critics?

Rottentomatoes has it at 33%. Not hopeful.
Using Rottentomatoes?  I'm going to have your last name changed to Ortiz.

Why not? Gives a good indication. May not be accurate of course.

rottentomatoes is not a half-bad way to assess popular movies.

Only Timmays and their ilk use Rotten Tomatoes to validate their shitty movies.

But I'm not "validating" the movie - I'm pointing out that chances are it sucks.

Unfortunately for you, Tim tainted the site during the King Kong affair. :(

neither. just develop your own critical capabilities and apply them.
