This isn't strictly related to the topic at hand, but the constant spinning over his person and blackness by both the right and the left in America are pushing me to conclude that the US wasn't really yet ready for a black President.

He kinda looks like the bad guy in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

He looks absolutely nothing like Emperor Gupta.

You have to start with baby steps.  We wouldn't know that so many in our society are still virulently racist if we didn't launch that trial balloon.  Now that we did, we are addressing that problem in a polite civil discourse.

I think we'll all better off with History Channel not doing history.  History will thank us.

I'd say your post leads me to believe that you aren't really ready to comment on US culture or politics.  The same constant spinning occurred during the W. Bush administration and the Clinton years.  It also did so, insofar as the technology allowed, during the Lincoln Administration!

So is this an example of white people being less able to discriminate among colored faces?
