I've been obsessively playing SimCity 4 Deluxe.

Pre-ordered The War in the North, the new Lord of the Rings game coming out.  Looks like it could be entertaining for a bit.

I looked at that.  Please let me know what you think of it.

Will do.  I'm hoping to talk one or two of my friends into buying it for PS3 so we can make full use of it.  Hopefully I'll get it within a few days.

If it wasnt for BF3 (which I think will be totally awesome eventually, but right now is laggy as fuck for basically everyone),

I'm having some fun with that, even though I'm not very good. Not too much lag either

What's good is that Skyrim comes out in 2 weeks & then WitN is bound to be on sale soon after that.

Mount and Blade: With fire and sword.

Multiplayer is fun although I don't understand the gold system. It seems to me that you can buy the best weapons etc. from the beginning. Also after a while a flag turns up at my targeting reticule and stays there. Pretty annoying.

So, after a few hours of play time in, I can say it's a pretty fun game.  I've been playing solo play, which is a touch disappointing, as there's no way to switch between characters to give them different weapons and choose their skill paths.  In multiplayer, this would all be solved though, and I'm thinking the game is meant to be utilized in said format for the best possible experience.  I'll probably try to give that a go in a few days or so.  I've been playing the human ranger character, and his skill tree is pretty nice in terms of ways to develop him.  You can go with an archer/ranged route, a dual weapon specialist, a two handed specialist, or a sneaky rogue type guy.  The character graphics are a bit dated, but nothing terrible.  The scenery is great and is very reminiscent of the movies.  The same goes for the armor.  They seem to make it blend together at different gear levels, so that it never looks awful pieced together.  I started out with a distinct out in the field ranger look and have now gotten armor pieces which have me looking like a rider of Rohan.  There are armor sets which give bonuses when worn together, sockets for gems that give bonuses, and various other neat little features.  The controls are fairly basic, though not succumbing to a simple button mash due to some special abilities and easy to do combo efforts.  Nothing groundbreaking about the game that I've seen so far, but definitely a nice combination of features blended together in a LotR environment.

It's cool, I like it... but it's Secret of Mana with updated graphics and a narrator.  Thanks for making it, but I want more.

Dug out my copy of Star Wars: KotOR.  I'd forgotten how much fun that game was... it's actually aged pretty well.

Lego Star Wars 3.  Good stuff; if Lego Batman 2 is anywhere near as comprehensive an overhaul, I'm going to be a happy camper.

Apparently, the Harry Potter Lego games are the better ones.

I've just bought a 360 pad, Dead Rising 2 and Fable 3 (what can I say, advertising works, the commercial was awesome).
So far so yey.
Just wish Red Dead and Ace Combat were on the PC....
