Snapped up Shogun 2 for $25 and The Witcher 2 for $30 on Steam, while I still have Red Orchestra 2 on my mind. Oh, and I'll be installing World of Tanks on this new computer. I might go into gaming overload this weekend.

I got many hours out of Shogun 2 and I'm not a huge Total War fan. And I may play it some more.

I picked it up last night and started a campaign game intending only to play around with it for maybe 30 minutes before going to bed. I ended up playing for five hours and didn't get to bed till after midnight.  :Embarrass:

The last TW game I liked was Rome, so I wasn't expecting Shogun 2 to be so good.

AI doesn't cheat. The player can lift Levies instantly as well.

Retinues and Levies are two different things.

Retinues are the Clan Leader's personal army, which can take time to recruit. But each Kori has 750 troops that you can lift, instantly, by raising them in the Military screen. But while they are raised, you cannot raise new ones, but they will get replacements nonetheless.
