He's already in Eastern Europe.  I think Gitmo might be a step up for him.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I got two RPGs in Gamersgate RPG sale: Dreamscape and Deadly Sin 2.
Just played Dreamscape so far. It's better than I expected.

Bought Rainbow Six 3 Gold from Steam for $10.
Runs like crap. $10 down the drain.  :glare:

I think I'm just going to avoid any older FPS. System Shock 1&2 and Deus Ex, both of which I got from Gamersgate, also didn't run well at all.

That surprises me.  SS and SS2 ran fine for me a year or so ago, when I fired them up for a notalgia trip.

I guess I should try SS again. Maybe I missed a patch or something.
Didn't miss a patch for Rainbow Six 3 though. At least SWAT 4 still runs well, and it's a lot of fun to replay.

Napoleon: Total war. Fund it in the bargain bin for 99 Dkr so I couldnt resist buying. I havnt regretted it so far, the AI is a huge improvement compared to the other Total war games. It will actually set traps and ambushes against you, using linear formations and try to hold the line, not the troops running all over the place like a confused herd of sheep (Rome: Total War I am looking at you ). I like it...  :)

Finishing up a tech playthrough of Arcanum that I started years ago, inspired by the "remakes" thread.  The interface is annoying enough to remind me of why I didn't finish this before.  The "any resolution" patch and unlimited scrolling script have eliminated about half my complaints, though.  There still isn't anything like this game.  I just wish it was harder for magic-users, and that there were a few more treats for the tech user.

Played a bunch of Patrician III, and beat the introduction campaign. Lot's of fun, if you like money-making games. I suck at fighting pirates, btw.  :pirate

Bought a used copy of Assassin's Creed 2 (PS3) for $20. About ten hours in and I'm really liking it so far. I'm not really a "collectible" type person, but this game has the right mixture of exploration and reward to keep me interested. Also, I'm strangely intrigued and weirded out by 'The Truth' side missions/puzzles; it's got a crazy "Lost" vibe going on there.
And, it's just really really fun running around renaissance Italy and causing a ruckus. Also I can kill Italians. :pope:

I'm liking it so much in fact that I bought Assassin's Creed Brotherhood off Amazon for $37.  :showoff:

Fighting pirate hide outs is a tough battle; cannon towers and lots of armed ships against you. You can maneuver for a shot at towers, then turn away to avoid the counter fire. Tricky and takes some practice, but I rarely fight the hideouts.

Fighting pirates on the open sea is a lot easier. I mainly use crayers and a few snaiikas fully upgraded as convoy escorts and pirate hunters. Those ships are faster than pirate cogs and can keep up with pirate crayers/snaiikas. Just need to maneuver/turn and fire, turning away to keep the enemy from getting a clean shot at you in return.

Going to attempt a 5 player War & Peace internet game. With me as France.

Use the capture rule and roll a 6 when the Austrian morale hits zero.

The game is already near breaking point, as the Austrian and Russian players are feuding on who will command their combined armies. The Russian player is keeping Kutuzov well away from the main Austrian army until they settle their lover's spat. The British player is whining like a little girl and the Prussian player is whining about switching to my side because the coalition is having a spat.

All I've done is form a giant blue wedge with the Grand Armee aimed at Vienna. Somebody is gonna get raped.

Not even 1806 yet.

I wish this game was ftf. I might get to see a fistfight.
