Prove us wrong :P

Okay. I'm a woman, and I don't believe in fortune telling or astrology. :)
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there
He wasn't there again today
I wish, I wish he'd go away...

Lord no - that opens the door to evil.

I always give money to the gypsy women though, because they can curse you.
Let's bomb Russia!

Ok, a question. This thread has 5 views so far, yet no answer. The thread title is pretty much straightforward - it is what it says on the box, as it were. So why click on the thread if you do not intend to post in it?

please respond ;-;

I was waiting to see something like this.  :D
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Martinus

Well, to answer my own question, I have dabbled with various stuff from i-ching, tarot, astrology, sigils, Aleister Crowley style magick, chaos magic and the like.

The rational part of me does not believe in it, but I also think it can be fun (especially when trying to summon demons while naked with your best straight friend who also happens to be hot, for example) and I think a lot of it is really psychotherapy in disguise (for example, tarot provides a "narrative" that helps you make sense of chaotic events around you, thus increasing your inner peace etc.)

In any case, if I were to believe in anything supernatural, I'd rather believe that I am a magician than worship some sort of a god. If we can't rule in our own dreams, we are pretty fucked. ;)

Why is it everytime Tim post a new thread it's the end of the world but when Martinus does this, it's okay?

I got into D&D when I was 7 and never confused it with reality.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

And Marti, rather than start threads which ask questions that only you answer - just talk to yourself.

Probably because whenever I ban Tim, he gets unbanned immediately by his flanneled Canadian ass daddy.

Ergo, if we have to suffer Timmay, it's only fair we have to suffer Marti.

That's it, rationalize you magical thinking.  You dabbled in it because you wanted more control over your life.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
