Does porn objectify women?  Maybe a little, but the nature of the genre is sexual objectification, for men and women, as much as science fiction is about setting up a counter-factual universe or slashers are about gore; that can't really be blamed on it.

Not sure I buy that - but even so, it often gives young people unrealistic expectations of what sex is like and how one goes about procuring it.

I forget if I ever brought this theory up on here, or if it was somewhere else, but there must be an awful lot of former pornographic actresses (and actors).  I mean, let's assume I've seen 1% of the porn ever made in the U.S.  This is unlikely as fuck, but let's go with that.  I've seen at least 10,000 individual women.  That suggests, taking into account actresses I have seen doing movies I have never seen, perhaps hundreds of thousands or even over a million.

Well, if it's any indicator, gay pornstars end up either on tv, dead from drug overdose/STDs or in prison after they have axed and eaten their boyfriends.

I dunno. Milf stuff seems to set far more unrealistic standards of what to expect of women hovering around the 40 mark than regular porn does for 20ish girls. Most girls are hot around 20. For 40...particularly after kids...its hit and miss.
