LOL, like threatening to use the filibuster, Mr. Human-Turtle Hybrid?
Is this CdM original, or have I missed a meme?

No Daily Show over there?  Maybe it's listed under Dairy Show, or Happy Jew Fun Time News.

They are obviously very silly people.

That's a given.  I'm starting to get rather annoyed with this "if they don't like it, vote them out" mentality.  It's not like a vote can comment that specifically on all aspects of a politicians use or misuse of the system.  I mean, it's not like we're loaded with red-blue ideologues who'll vote for anybody from their own party simply because they "have to be better" than the other guy.

The problem is, that while polls show that a large majority of people are dissatisfied with Congress as a whole, they tend to be satisfied with and approve of their individual Congressman and Senators.  The Congressmen and Senators for whom that's not true do tend to get voted out.

Anyway, I think I've been consistant in my views about the filibuster.  Let Senators do it, but make them actually filibuster, i.e., make them actually take the floor and just keep talking until their vocal cords give out instead of being able to filibuster just by saying that they are.

You guys would be croaking your heads off if it were a GOP simple majority suggesting a change in the filibuster rule.

Right.

But not to confirm judicial nominees and the like.
