Can I grief people? Griefing the languish bridge crew would sound like fun.

I'd make Beverly Crusher fuck her own son, with Troi and Data running a train on them both afterwards.

:nerd:

Any info on how many servers there will be?

As usual, we should all atleast try to play together & join the same Fleet/Guild/whatever they are call.

Only one unified server.

Game appears to be heavily instanced, and PvP is all instanced, so no griefing at least (and no worries when Klingons are outnumbered 10:1 by Federation).

And I have: pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe version.

I dunno, I can see a lot of annoying fanbois choosing Federation with names like "JOHN LUCK PICKERD", but even more annoying fanbois choosing Klingon--and speaking the fucking language in local.

Fuck it.  I'd be V'ger and fuck a bald Eurochick.

Actually she was a Deltan, a highly sexual species of telepaths. Unfortunately for you they have to swear celibacy upon joining Starfleet, lest they break your fragile psyche in the act. :nerd:

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Oh, there'll be both.  But if WoW is any indication more people want to be pretty, which means Vulcans and Humans will predominate.

Of course you can be damn sure that with my new pre-order benefit I'm going to have an all female bridge crew all wearing TOS-era miniskirts.

Did you make sure to pre-order from a vendor giving away the TOS uniform?

Why on earth would I otherwise order directly from Atari?

Actually I just realized that you can order the DDE from people other than Atari.  So I would have been better off to download from D2D.  Nice of them to point that out.

WoW is everywhere, one cannot escape it.
I hear people talk about "tanks" and "dps" as though they were words in a real language and just lol at the geeks.

Having said that, using one MMORPG term in a thread about another MMORPG is probably fair.  They types who play the one probably play another, and those of us who don't play WoW don't play any Star Trek MMO games either.

I don't think there is a hope that one could make a successful ST MMORPG.  The very ethos of the canon is about "special people" and everyone cannot be 'special" without the term losing its meaning.
