I'm seriously considering making a brandy-soaked fruitcake with vodka- and brandy-soaked fruits. In general, I don't care for store-bought fruitcakes, but I'm thinking that an alcoholic fruitcake might be worth the eggs, butter, and flour.

Anything that I'd actually want I'd either get for myself, or is so expensive nobody would buy it for me.  So I just enjoy giving and receiving token gifts, really only meant to express friendship and love rather than anything I could realistically need or want.

That's actually very sweet.
