On Assassins Creed games, just got Unity (because setting) and want to try Odyssey.

But I'm mainly spending my time furious at the overly negative depiction of the Revolution and Robespierre <_<

The good thing about it, is that my students understand it's fiction. Robespierre's treatment in a movie like "The French Revolution" - or in the kinds of lazy characterizations that are rampant in American popular histories - have been much harder to undermine.

Yeah. I tried the conquistador one. It just feels too outdated.

Well the conquistador one came out many years ago  ;)

I recall trying it as soon as you raved about it. No bueno.

2013. It was not so long after I tried it.
It feels like a relic of the 90s.

I feel I should really play an AssCreed game some time. I mean, I have them all in my uPlay account.

For setting, I find all since III compelling.

Shocked that the things we like are different.

New wargame to PC type port. Designer I think came from AGEOD, but the game looks very "wargame" like. Going to try it out.

So is it any good?

Looks similar to Battles for Spain, from the same publisher:

Seems related to the Wars Across the World engine. https://store.steampowered.com/app/341040/Wars_Across_The_World/

That game looks like a trap. You can buy the game for only $10 but the scenarios will run you another $110 :o

The base game comes with a bunch of scenarios, but I have no idea how good they are.

Playing Anno 1800 at the moment. It's on the one hand soothing if you just want to build a nice city. If you want to minmax it or compete with stronger Sis, it becomes stressful due to the necessary muti-tasking and micromanagement

I've been enjoying what is probably the worst named game I've ever seen, "KARDS".  It's basically Hearthstone but WW II.

Port Royale 4 is in the works:  https://store.steampowered.com/app/1024650/Port_Royale_4/

Seems like they still don't give a fuck about historical ownership of colonies:

Either use a historical map with historical colony ownership, or a fantasy map. Either are fine. But this is one of the few cases where historical inaccuracy really breaks a game for me. -_-

At a bare minimum have alternate language names for the colonies.

Sid Meier's Pirates had different starting dates, and at different dates they would have either different cities, or different names/ownership of cities:

I've seen another screenshot of the same area where all the flags are English, final setup might be different.
