Best Biden moment ever was when he told the guy in a wheelchair to stand up.

No one has ever been more qualified to be Vice President of the United States than Joe Biden.  Even in the distinguished role of such luminaries as Elbridge Gerry, Hannibal Hamlin, Alben Barkely, Nelson Rockefeller, Walter Mondale and Al Gore he stands apart.  It is a pity he can't be elected him Vice President for life.   :(
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Eh, it's amusing, but nothing more than that, especially for Biden.  And Teddy Roosevelt was wise, even though in hindsight he should've spoken softly more often and used his big stick less.

I also wonder how much Biden intentionally plays into his schtick.  He looked like he was deadpanning when he was delivering those lines.  Despite the mockery, it worked for him throughout his career.

The thing is, it doesn't appear to me that he caught the double-meaning.

But he painted it white and sailed it around the world...
