lol, too funny.

You know Big John was going to get the man he wanted, though.

Especially since the offensive line is officially worse now than last season.  Resigning Birk and McKinnie while losing Grubbs and failing to snag Mathis is not what I'd call an improvement.
Yeah, I saw Birk just looking back at Flacco getting sacked a few times last season, and without Grubbs that interior line is really going to suffer.  Who's still availible on the market?  Maybe they'll have to address that through the draft?

Looks like Tebow to the Jets and the Saints just got nuked.

Saints HC Payton suspended for full season effective April 1st, Former DC Gregg Williams suspended indefinitely effective immediately, 2nd round this year and 2nd round next year taken from the Saints, the saints assistant HC/LBer coach suspended 6 games, GM suspended 8 games and fined 500k, Saints fined 500k. According to various sources.

The possible player punishment is still a little ways out.  If their suspensions are in anyway similar to the others it could almost guarantee a 1-4 kinda start at best.

Yeah, and even that assumes that the Saints finally sign Brees to a long-term deal....or we're talking an 0-16 kinda start.

Neil

What good does Tebow do the Jets, other than adding a cancer to the team?

I'm shocked that Payton got suspended for a year.  The punishment was so much worse than the Cheatriots got that it makes the NFL seem laughable.

How much incentive (besides a huge paycheck) would there be for Brees to stay in NO after this pr debacle?
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

That's because NFL Properties doesn't make nearly as much money off New Orleans than it does with New England.

Now, if Tom Brady played for NO, it would've been a different story.  Drew Brees is a fan favorite, not a league favorite.

Nfl isn't worried about the legitimacy of their games as much ad they ate worried about multi-billion dollar workers comp lawsuits from brain damaged former players who are drooling into their whirled peas in the home.

I don't see how they can possibly avoid those.
