It really hurts America's fight in the war on terror. With this decision it seems he is more concerned about the safety of the terrorists than he is about our American military ! I liked this analysis. They gave him an F on this and so do I:

Can you really be hurt in a phony war?

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Didn't the Obama opponents demand exactly this after they released the numbers on torture? To show that the torture was at least worth it?

I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Cheney was the one beating that drum.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Jeez. I didn't need that mental image.

I like the hysterical shrieks from people over the release of the memos.

Fuck those murderous bastards.

If they didn't want to be tortured, they shouldn't have joined Al-Qaeda.

Yeah, right.

Are you going to tell me that you never gave a pack of M&M out of an MRE to the smallest kid in the group of iraqi children following you, just to see the bigger kids beat the shit out of him?

That's a form of torture too, you know.
