So, imagine you're either a commoner in late Edo era Japan, an early 19th century Dutchman or, better yet, an inhabitant of some weird alternate universe where you are exactly who you are except you lack a surname.
Suddenly along comes the Meiji restoration/Napoleon/the cosmic hand of thread excuses and demands you must adopt a surname.
What would you choose? Why?

Bon Jovi.

:vomit:

Why do you hate the good things in the world, garbon?

Bon Jovi was the first concert I went to. I also saw Bon Jovi perform at anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. There was nothing good at either occasion.

To be fair, you don't really seem like the kind of guy such monsters of rock would appeal to, though.

RACISS!
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I dunno - my first concert ever was Aerosmith, and the most awesome concert I ever attended was Motley Crue (Dr. Feelgood tour), yet I doubt you would have guessed that.. :P

Well, I never thought you just sat in your study drinking brandy and listening to classical music.  Now if Joan had said his favorite live act was Motley Crue... :P

You know, I've never actually been to a concert, unless you count bar gigs.  Unless that time I watched Battleship Potempkin with a live orchestra counts, which I'm pretty sure it the hell does not.
