:lol:  I guess you haven't been paying attention; the USN hasn't been naming carriers for previous carriers, battles, or admirals for quite some time.

Indeed.  These days, the new ones are all presidents, all the time.  No more Carl Vinsons, no more Nimitzs.  The only chance for a break is after Enterprise is retired, they might replace it with another Enterprise at some point.

Sorry Tim all CVs are named after Presidents.  Which is good because we hardly ever name anything after Presidents in this country.

How about the USS Abraham Lincoln, or USS John Adams or even Thomas Jefferson?
