The LHC black hole scenario doesn't eliminate reality, and it's effects are localised. The other experiment would ultimately destroy the universe.
I suppose whether or not such an even can destroy the universe depends on how you think the universe operates.  Nevertheless, it's a pretty unlikely scenario.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I call it a Hawking-hole! :nerd:

The new season wasn't very good.  It was okay, but overall rather disappointing.

That makes me sad.  I was hoping for more and better. Haven't seen the new ones yet.
PDH!

Well, don't get too down.  It wasn't bad, really (well, there was one episode that probably counts).  Just not as good.

The one Tim was quoting was actually pretty funny.

Is this laser like the Death Star beam?

Can be use to destroy incoming asteroids?

Or alien ships?

No.

Explain.
The Death Star laser was much, much more powerful than this laser.

The mounting can't be aimed, and even if it did it wouldn't destroy an asteroid anyways.

There are no alien ships.
