Since I visited two new states this past week I figured that I would restart this old thread (I think the original was pre-crash, as I couldn't find it):

I left out Wyoming because as PDH will attest - I never stopped in the state but drove right through!

Yeah, I don't count states I've only driven in or flown over... I've flown over Kansas, Utah and Nevada, and probably Nebraska.

I know I've forgotten a state or two.

States where I've stayed for at least a day. I lived in New York and New Jersey so far for longer periods.

Well I'm not sure why flyovers would count...but I could see how someone could count a car drive. Wyoming is about 6 hours to drive through.

Drive throughs count. The only drive through that possibly shouldn't is Mobile by way of NO. If I ever get my ass over there again, I will make a point of stopping for a few hours.

No, drive throughs and flyovers don't count, bro.  I'm in charge and I make the rules, and abide by my own rules:  the last time I did this I didn't count West Virginny nor Delaware since I'd definitely only driven thru WV and couldn't remember ever stopping in Delaware, but since then I've spent 3-4 nights in WV and visited Lewes, Cape Henlopen, and Rehoboth Beach in DE.

And more importantly:

Why do you hate Quebec?  Is it because of Viper?  Fair enough.

I've only been to states that form straight lines between South Carolina and Louisiana and South Carolina and Maryland, respectively.  Oh, and Tennessee.

Fuck you. I don't play by any stinking rules.
What constitutes a "stop" anyway? Is it enough to get out of your car for a piss? In that case I didn't drive-through Alabama.  :P

Maximus

Left out states I just drove through without significant stops, or just spent time in an airport.

What if you stand in one state and from that one piss in another?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

If you sleep in a place, you can count it.

I have actually been to Quebec 4-5 times, but I never slept there. -_-
