So, does it mean we are effectively slowly losing the grip on Afghanistan and it will be another case of an empire getting bruised over that patch of desert?

Poland has about 2600 troops in Afghanistan and the death toll of 27 by now. Don't feel like pulling the "our boys" card since I don't think they have a reason to be there, but I thought you would be less flippant about their deaths.

Edit: It appears our contingent is 7th in size, and only slightly smaller than Canadian (2900 troops), with only the US contingent having over 10,000 troops. Hence I think as a Pole I'm fully entitled to say "we" with respect to the NATO forces in Afghanistan.
