Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

Ah crap.
I've got to pick them. My two QBs are Hasselbeck and Grossman. Given that Tennessee is playing Baltimore and Washington is playing Arizona it's obvious who I have to start.

Grossman is good Grossman these days.  Keep playing him at your peril.  The meltdown is coming

I played Hasselbeck last week. I'm gonna switch the starters up depending on the opponents.

This is a reply to Tim, who is wrong about some things:

I'm not sold on Chicago yet, and I think New Orleans can take them.  It's had to say, because so much depends on which Cutler shows up, but we know which Drew Brees is going to show up, the totally awesome one.  If he can get just a little bit of help and tackling from the defence, he'll beat the Bears single-handed.

Jacksonville will not beat the Jets, mostly because Jacksonville sucks.  Their one good player is an RB, against a Jets team who loves to stuff the run.  Their QB is a scrub who is starting because David Gerrard was going to make a lot of money this year and the owners would rather lose cheap then win.  You're letting your Patriotardism run away with you.  You'd probably pick Boise State against the Jets.  Sanchez isn't elite or anything, but a supporting team like that around him, he doesn't really have to be.

Washington - Arizona will be interesting.  On the one hand, Arizona can't stop anyone or anything.  On the other hand, everyone knows the Sex Cannon.

I wouldn't bet on Cleveland to beat Indy.  Sure, they got spanked by the Texans, but the Texans are awesome.  The Browns lost to the Bengals.  The Colts still have plenty of talent, and they're only going to get better.  The Colts will have problems with preparation and coaching, since the de facto head coach is on the bench.

San Diego might just beat New England in the Soft Teams With Whiny, Homo Quarterbacks Bowl.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I agree with everything in that post.

Even ESPN's fantasy scoring projections has Chicago's defense earning -1 points.

Interesting tidbit I picked up today, this week's schedule is extremely rare: no divisional match-ups at all.  Week 4 is the same.  They did it intentionally so if the lockout continued into the season they could very easily drop those two weeks from the schedule without having much of an effect on the overall season schedule.   :smarty:

When was the last time that happened?

Unlikely. The ref that worked the '05 Superbowl will be working the Hawks-Steelers game on Sunday. The Steelers will not be allowed to go 0-2.
My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I don't see the Seahawks out-physicalling the Steelers, and they don't have the tools to beat them with precision.  They don't have good receivers, they don't have a good quarterback, and their running back situation is passable at best.  Unless Roethlisberger was reduced to retardation by the pounding he took last week, they won't need the refs for this one like they did in '05.

Mind you, the Seahawks must have known it was coming.  Surely the fans knew that they wouldn't be allowed to mess up the 'Bus wins at home' narrative, anymore than the Raiders were permitted to stop the victory of patriotism after 9/11.
