The article seems to be misdated but it's seems legit since Google News is flooded with death report.

Not only misdated but she didn't even die in that article

QuoteAmy Winehouse's ex-husband Blake Fielder-Civil has described how he feared his wife was dying in his arms after a three-day drug binge.

Yeah, that's a crap article, for sure.  Even has a sub-headline quote that's not in the article.  Shades of National Inquirer!
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Oh, so everyone gets to post articles they don't read, but me.

What is the proper way to respond to this thread?  I never listened to her music, and only knew of her because of her horrible health caused by drug problems.  So I only really knew of her as "That chick with the funny hair who is going to die soon".  What would the proper post in a thread like this?  I really don't know, and don't want to sound callous.  This is for future reference, of course I probably already sound like an asshole.  So how could not sound like an asshole and still make a meaningful post in a thread like this in the future?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Strange.
True, she always seemed a celebrity death waiting to happen.
But that she has always been that way and endured makes it odd it has finally happened.

Strange she lasted this long really.

Martinus

A druggie trainwreck or not, she created some good music. RIP. :(

This is about as unexpected as Ricky Martin's coming out of the closet.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.
