I really need to live elsewhere.  Someplace that doesn't see 80 degrees.  Ever.

We're scheduled to get 37/38°C (100°F) in the city over the weekend. :bleeding:

The heat brings out the moon crickets.  Chirp, chirp, yo.

I was amused by the Dayton city official telling people(i.e. the Blacks) to stay out of the fountains downtown.

Blighty ?

On the plus side you'd score no end of action with you whole, gritty ex-cop/bail bondman conflicting with your sensitive tormented writer vibe.

On the negative, you'd have to put up with whingeing Brits.   :P

In other news, temperatures rocket to the high 70s here and Englanders wilt. :bowler:

I think we're in a pretty bad drought here.  I've had to water my trees pretty much every night for the past three weeks.

Same here.  It's also hot.  Been around 100 degrees this week.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Glad to be fleeing the city this weekend. Don't need mid-90 temps, thank you very much.

Yep celebrating my mother's b-day early. Going to the Cape. Still saying 80s but nicer than 90s :D

Apparently approaching 100 here downtown, but I ran out to get a sandwich just now & it didn't quite feel that bad.  I'm guessing the humidity hasn't quite hit yet, but it will be here with a vengeance after the rain tomorrow.
