I disagree.
Considerably better than last year which was a total wash out. We've had quite a lot of warm days this year but it has yet to become uncomfortably hot.

I've no idea what last year's weather was like

It's been constant rain, no sun, barely ever even hitting high teens/low twenties and looking outside right now I think it's hailing :weep:

Also my gardening has been a disaster and I'm choosing to blame that on the inclement weather.

It's 15 degrees now and according to the BBC weather app, we might see the sun in a fortnight :weep:

As I read in an old Encyclopedia Britannica (I think 1920s vintage), many years ago: "The British Isles have been blessed with the best climate in the world."

I have stumbled upon the perfect gardening strategy.  Leave for several weeks and let nature do it's thing.  And voila - I come home to beds of lettuce, kale, chard, chives and dill to harvest for my cooking.  With peas and Brussel sprouts well on the way.

A bit of weeding to do mind you  :D

I am telling ya maybe it is my acclimatisation but 28 can feel like a proper heatwave on this island I don't know why.

We're getting several 32°C days next week. 15 years ago that would have been unusual, these days it's become quite normal here.  <_<
