Damn we need some snow here, just to rub in the Covid and Brexit disruptions. 

It may come. I read a think about the polar vortex splitting in two and one arctic blast is headed to Europe

It'd been a bit warmer for early January here. We have gotten a good amount of rain this Fall and Winter so our lack of rain fall has improved, since we had less rain than usual over the summer. A storm is apparently going to miss us over the next day or two, going south of us instead.

We had the first all day pretty heavy snow in central Texas for the first time since the 1980s on Sunday so that was weird.

Back to our normally scheduled weather this week though. Still kind of a cold January after a weirdly warm one in 2020.

I hope the whole country freezes this weekend though. Maybe the Trumpenriech folks stay home.

About 15cm of snow overnight, with more to come. They should be well protected

It was -33c this morning.  I saw a -41c (with windchill) Sunday morning.

Extreme cold combined with all sorts of indoor recreation activities being closed led to a tough weekend.
