Why OH WHY do people insist on living in the middle of the United States where tornadoes occur?

Yeah they should live on large islands close to continental landmasses, but whose climate is moderated by prevailing ocean weather systems.

So it's turned into a major tornado outbreak.  Mobile homes are scattered all over the tri-state area.

Lots of high winds but not a whole lot else. Starting to cool down, and my headache is fading.

Nice dump of snow on the local mountains last night. Whistler is open two weeks early.  Promises to be a good ski season.  Perfect for our Aussie friends who will be arriving in a few weeks for a ski vacation.
