Are You 'Published' ?

Since we have a few literary types here and a fair few frustrated wannabe novelists, I'd like to posit these two questions:

Are you a published author ?

What do you regard as the benchmark/threshold for being 'published' ?



Me, you don't need to ask do you; I'm the guy who can't string a couple of sentences together. 

People I think who should pull their fingers out and become 'authors' include CdM, CCR, Sav etc.

You know I have an idea, if someone still has access to the old languish database, they should take all of their posts and vanity publish them as a 'book'; I think given the right hype/word of mouth/facebook/twitter bullshit, a one off like that could succeed ?


It would need copious footnotes to explain memes and contexts or other characters, but that might be half the charm.
