Here is a funny bit of trivia:

Arizona leads the nation in consecutive NCAA tourney appearances, at 25.

However, we are not even in the top 10 in total NCAA tourney appearances. We have....25.

Too bad the streak is about to end.

The problem for Arizona is that it might become one of those schools that used to be good but nobody goes there anymore.

Duke could go that way too if they dont handle the coach K departure properly.

Is there any reason to believe a good coach would not do better at a better school - like Arizona?

From an LA Times article about the two wildcat programs hiring new coaches this week.

Kentucky is Alabama football, a program lost in perpetual time warp and flush with irrational exuberance.

Arizona is Florida State football, where the question is: What becomes of us after Bobby Bowden retires?

Bowden, like Olson, singularly made the program what it is.

The Tucson Wildcats are on the brink of possible oblivion.

Junior stars Jordan Hill and Chase Budinger are probably bound for the NBA, leaving the prospect of the school's first losing season since 1983-84, Olson's first.

The pressure is on, for once, in Tucson. In Lexington, pressure rises each day.
