Quote from: Tamas on April 12, 2026, 03:13:32 PMAt 81% processed Tisza is at 138 seats, Fidesz at 94. Only other party who has made it in are the proper nazis, with 7.

135 seats are needed for absolute majority.
Good news. By absolute majority do you mean enough to do constitutional change? Because surely 94 and 7 is about 100 and 138 is way above that?
Let's bomb Russia!

Yes. A constitutional majority.

Quote from: Zanza on April 12, 2026, 03:13:37 PMExcellent. I hope Magyar can heal the damage Orban did.

Over the last sixteen years, Hungary has become the poorest EU country and a lackey of Russia.

Or in old school WWE fashion magyar can go heel and turn hard to putin

Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Legbiter

A very successful baronial revolt. Magyar is originally a Fidesz rightoid himself but hopefully not owned, lock, stock and barrel by the russians. :hmm:
Posted using 100% recycled electrons.

Probably wishful thinking on my part :P

He will have four years and he better move fast. No Starmer like complacency.

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

He'll heal some of the damage. Don't expect him to turn Budapest into downtown Brussels overnight.

But sometimes some change is better than no change at all

Tamas

I was way wrong. Fidesz will have 55 seats, not 95. Vs 138 for Tisza.

I hope Hungary is not going to blunder the way Democrats have multiple times, with both Obama and Biden.  First order of business after such victory should be to harden institutions and counter authoritarian entrenchment.  Policy victories are meaningless without strong institutions.

And take a page from South Korea and Brazil and actually prosecute those that committed crimes.
Three lovely Prada points for HoI2 help

His victory speech was pretty clear, no one is safe.
Getting ready to make IEDs against American Occupation Forces.

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

Doesn't Korea get a coup attempt like every 20 years?

QuoteHe's announced that Hungary will join the European Prosecution Office so anyone in the country can be charged.

QuoteMagyar's speech is powered. From a contact in the audience: "He's basically just asked all the puppets, all the supreme justices, all the heads of media, all the heads of the ministries to leave their jobs tomorrow and not wait to be fired."

"But I didn't vote for him"; they cried.

It's a good thing they don't have 2 months to shred evidence like in other countries.  It's as if the US Founding Fathers knew they needed time to clear their tracks during a change of administration :P
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

Budapest already looks better than downtown Brussels, which has a shabby feel somehow. :P

It does not take much to be better than Orban, be it domestic or foreign policy.
